2. Resource Configuration

Add or edit drivers

In this video, we walk you through the concept of drivers in NowGo. A driver is the person performing a shift, and allocating a driver to a shift lets them see their shift and jobs in the mobile app.

Create Vehicle Types

In this video, I walk you through the concept of vehicle types in NowGo and how to manage them. A vehicle type is a generalized style of vehicle that shares capacities and attributes, and any vehicle you create under that type will inherit them.

Configure Channels

In this video, we walk you through the concept of channels in NowGo and how to set them up. A channel segments jobs into different areas or functions, and acts as a boundary for optimisation and assignment, so jobs can only be assigned to shifts and drivers within that channel.

Configure recurring shift rules

In this video, we show you how to set up a recurring shift rule so shifts are automatically created on a schedule, without any manual input or CSV uploads. Dispatchers define the days, times, channels, and generation window once, and NowGo then creates shifts as far into the future as required.

Run route solve

In this video I walk you through the Solver in NowGo, the brain behind route optimization. It uses advanced algorithms to allocate jobs to drivers and calculate the most efficient routes while meeting delivery time windows, optimizing load and capacity, using driver schedules and working hours, and minimizing distance and time on the road.

Use Quick Assign

In this video, we walk you through QuickAssign in the NowGo dashboard. QuickAssign instantly provides up to three recommended shifts for inserting an unassigned job into an existing order, including ETAs for the stops plus added distance and time on the road for the driver.

Use Smart Assign

In this video, we walk you through Smart Assign in NowGo. Smart Assign lets you re-optimize existing routes to insert selected new jobs into the most appropriate place within a shift.

Sequence stops

In this video, we walk you through the Sequencing feature in NowGo to optimize routes in the dashboard. Sequence lets you reorder the stops in an existing shift into a more appropriate order, which is the route the driver takes on the road.

Dispatch plan

In this video, we walk you through how to use Planning Mode in the NowGo Dispatcher to simulate Dispatch scenarios before committing changes. While in planning mode, you can refresh information to sync the latest updates, name a plan, and make allocation or job changes without affecting existing drivers if changes are on the same day.

5. Driver App Usage

Get started with the mobile app

In this video, we provide an overview of the NowGo mobile app that drivers use to manage delivery jobs throughout the day. It explains that the app lets drivers view assigned shifts and stops, access pickup and delivery addresses, keep job statuses up to date in real time, navigate to stops, collect proof of delivery, record delivery problems, and message dispatch through in app messaging.

View stops

In this video, we provide an overview on how to use the Stops tab in the driver app. When you open the app with an active shift that has jobs assigned, you are taken to the Stops view; if you do not have an active shift, you can tap Start Shift.
